Levante secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Celta de Vigo on Tuesday, boosting their survival chances in La Liga. The win, their second consecutive 3-2 result, temporarily lifts them out of the relegation zone.

The Portuguese coach Luis Castro’s side fell behind early, as Ferran Jutglà scored for Celta in just the fourth minute. However, Kervin Arriaga equalized just before halftime with a powerful strike from outside the box (42nd minute).

Celta regained the lead early in the second half, with Jutglà scoring his second of the match in the 48th minute. But Levante struck back again, as Dela unleashed a long-range effort to make it 2-2 in the 57th minute.

The turnaround was completed in the 63rd minute when Roger Brugue headed home from a corner kick, completely unmarked in the area.

With this result, Levante climbs to 16th place with 39 points, pending other results in the 36th round. They are level on points with Espanyol, Girona, and Alavés, while Oviedo sits on 29 points.

Since Luis Castro took charge, Levante have accumulated 29 points in 19 matches—the fourth-best record in La Liga behind Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Villarreal.

Celta de Vigo remains in sixth place with 50 points, keeping their European qualification hopes intact.
