VfL Wolfsburg has once again suspended Mohamed Amoura from the squad due to disciplinary issues, the club confirmed via X. The decision also affects midfielder Kevin Paredes, as both players will miss the home match against German champions FC Bayern Munich following an incident during training.
“In the situation we’re in, there can be no two opinions. Discipline is essential, and it was lacking in that one moment in training,” head coach Dieter Hecking told Sky. “Now we have to accept the consequences. The other players will step up.”
This marks the second time this season that Amoura has been excluded for disciplinary reasons. His predecessor, Daniel Bauer, previously dropped the Algerian striker from the squad in January ahead of a 1-0 loss to 1. FC Köln. The 26-year-old forward, who joined Wolfsburg from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in 2024, is widely regarded as a potential high-value transfer target each summer due to his pace and talent.
